NOSTARCH is the ARCHITECTURE CHAPTER of RECAL. And RECAL is the Alumni Association of REC/NIT Trichy.
It was a long felt need to have an alumni organisation exclusively for the Architectural graduates, passing out of REC/NIT Trichy. Owing to the fact that ours was an undergraduate course, but, one that was widely and rightfully different from the engineering stream, our differences and uniqueness stemming from the fact that the course period for us was five years and all our subjects and course materials were totally different. Starting from the intake number to the system of education, we were off the main stream.
Though all students passing out of any branch of the college are part of RECAL, it was long felt that an exclusive group will provide us the ability to have better interaction, bonding and networking. Thus after much deliberation and discussion it was decided to launch the Architecture chapter of RECAL. A first time initiative, as thus far, all chapters that have been started were city/geography based and not stream based. As usual ARCHIE’s are known for non-conformity.
At this juncture it is imminent that we mention the understanding and welcoming team who were at the helm of RECAL affairs (Krishna sai and his team) for having accepted our proposal to start the ARCHITECTURE CHAPTER. Being part of RECAL and still having our own chapter to pursue our interests and opinions, not just gives us the freedom, but also binds us to the parent organisation (RECAL) and the institution (REC/NIT Trichy).
The above being the REASON WHY WE FORMED the chapter, the below discusses the PURPOSE for which the RECAL ARCHITECTURE CHAPTER HAS BEEN formed
